Musa and I have been in Nashville for 7 months now, but it truly feels like a lifetime. We absolutely love this sweet city we now call home. It was a lot of craziness and endless prayers to get here, but we are loving every second of it. We are nestled into our home and loving all the little touches and updates making it our own.
Nashville is just so cool! It has a small-town feel with a big city vibe. There is so much to do here, the food scene is incredible (which is important for two foodies like us), and the diversity is amazing. It’s so nice to meet new people, from all over the world!
Musa loves his job. He is so incredibly happy where he is at and is challenged every day. He works as a Cloud Architect for Deloitte and one of the blessings is he gets to work from home. It’s so nice having him around!
My business has now picked up and I’m so thankful for that! I am so blessed to be able to not only move but grow my business in another amazing city. I’m still finishing up my wedding season in Columbus, Ohio but am thankful for the opportunity to go back and visit Musa’s parents.
The weather down here is so hot! Which I love! I am always cold, so this weather speaks to my heart! It also has been so much fun gardening because the plants grow like they would in the jungle! I’ve been loving my vegetable and flower gardens and seeing them flourish. Even Rex and Fly have been loving the heat! They sunbathe out in the sun, which I don’t even know how they do it because they are long-haired dogs. I have to call them in because they will stay outside for hours!!
We have found a church down here that we love. It was so hard to move because we found a home at Rock City Church in Columbus, Ohio and have been really praying about our next church family. Ethos down here has been such an answer to our prayers. The good perk about living in the bible belt is that churches are everywhere, but really there are more churches than people! It’s been so refreshing to live in a God-centered city with so many people that share the same beliefs.
It’s also been such a blessing living close to my family! We started waffle Sundays at our house! So every Sunday after church, whoever can make it that week, comes over to share waffles. It’s a tradition I have always wanted to start and I’m so excited to share it with my family! Plus, who doesn’t love waffles?! They’re simply delicious! Anywhoo, that’s all our updates for now!
