Items to have ready for your photographer on your wedding day
Brides—I am SO excited to be part of one of the most important and beautiful days of your life! It is such an honor to capture the first day of your marriage, and I truly can’t wait to celebrate every joyful, love-filled moment alongside you.
Your wedding day will be filled with excitement, happy tears, and memories you’ll cherish forever—and my goal as your photographer is to make sure everything flows smoothly so you can truly be present and soak it all in.
One way I help make your day feel effortless? I give all of my brides something I call “Wedding Day Homework.” Don’t worry—it’s easy and actually kind of fun. It’s simply a list of your wedding day details that I’ll photograph during the getting ready portion of your day. Having everything gathered and ready means I can jump right in when I arrive, and you don’t have to worry about where things are—or who has what.
Here's What to Include in Your Wedding Detail Box:
I recommend gathering all your small details in a tote bag or box and placing it in your getting-ready suite the night before. That way, when I arrive, I can begin styling and photographing right away!
Your Wedding Day Details:
💍 All 3 rings – Engagement ring, His wedding band, Her wedding band
✨ Jewelry – Earrings, necklace, bracelet (anything you plan to wear)
💐 Perfume bottle – Bonus if it's a pretty one!
💕 Garter
✉️ Full invitation suite (including envelopes, stamps, and inserts)
👠 Wedding shoes
👰 Veil
🌸 Bouquet
👗 Wedding dress
🌿 Extra wedding florals (just a few loose stems is perfect!)
💖 Any heirlooms or special items (grandmother’s bracelet, meaningful charms, notes, etc.)
Why This Matters
By having all of these items prepared and in one spot, we eliminate unnecessary stress—no more running around asking, “Where’s my bracelet?” or “Who has the rings?” You’ll be able to relax, sip your mimosa, and enjoy your morning knowing that everything is in place.
These small, intentional details are the opening chapter of your wedding story, and I want them to feel just as elegant and beautiful as the rest of your day. With the help of a few extra florals and cohesive styling, your gallery will have a consistent, elevated look from start to finish.
Make It Personal
If there’s something that’s meaningful to you—whether it’s your grandmother’s handkerchief, a letter from your fiancé, or a custom charm for your bouquet—include it! These unique touches help tell your story and are some of my favorite things to photograph.
Final Thoughts
Your wedding day is going to be unforgettable, and thoughtful preparation ensures it starts off calm, beautiful, and completely stress-free. Trust me—when everything is gathered and ready, it sets the tone for a relaxed morning and a seamless experience.
And don’t worry, I’ll walk you through every step. I’ve got you.
