Wedding at The Ohio Statehouse
Brides, if you’re on the hunt for a wedding planner who can truly bring your vision to life, look no further than Natasha Churches of Perfectly Planned Weddings! Natasha is a true magic maker when it comes to turning wedding dreams into reality. Last year, she created The Styled Series, a collaborative space for photographers, event stylists, and designers to come together and build stunning portfolios. This year’s styled shoot took place at none other than The Ohio Statehouse, and let me tell you, it was absolutely breathtaking.
A Venue Fit for Royalty
The Ohio Statehouse served as the perfect backdrop for this styled shoot. Historic, regal, and filled with natural light, the venue provided a timeless, elegant atmosphere that truly made the shoot come alive. The architecture was stunning, and it was the ideal place to host a wedding-inspired photoshoot!
Incredible Vendors and Gorgeous Details
Let’s talk about the details because, wow, everything was just perfection. Prema Designs did an amazing job on the florals. Reds, blushes, creams, and lush greenery filled the room, making it feel so romantic and vibrant. The ceremony setup was a dream, with gorgeous floral arrangements and antique candles adorning the space. Got Ya Covered provided the rentals, which were incredibly elegant and added just the right touch of sophistication to the day.
We had two beautiful bride and groom models. The dresses from La Jeune Mariee were absolutely stunning, and the suits from Pursuit were a perfect match for the styled theme, completing the couples’ looks beautifully.
One of the first things we photographed was the invitation suite from Cheerup Press. Alaina’s hand-pressed paper was unique and simply gorgeous. If you’re in the market for invitations that stand out, her work is a must-see!
Learning from the Best
While we photographed the wedding details, floral arrangements, and shoes, we were also treated to a special session with Allison Leonard from Kismet Visuals. Allison shared her expertise on posing for wedding days, offering tips and tricks on how to make couples look natural and relaxed. She was so genuine and honest, sharing what she’s learned over the years, and her insights were incredibly valuable!
Our two couples were not only stunning, but they were also such a joy to work with. They handled the flurry of photographers capturing every moment with grace and ease. It’s no easy task to be the center of attention with a group of photographers working like paparazzi, but they were total pros!
The Rotunda and Its Magical Light
One of my favorite spots of the day was the rotunda, where we captured some of the most beautiful images. The old-fashioned elevator in the center, surrounded by wide open staircases, created such a majestic, almost cinematic feel to the space. The natural light pouring in from above made the architecture even more striking, and I couldn’t stop photographing it! The rotunda was absolutely gorgeous and so grand, and it’s a space that truly left me in awe.
A Sweet Finish
To wrap up the day, we photographed an incredible cake from Jan Kish. Her work is absolutely stunning—so intricate and truly a piece of art! The cake was the perfect sweet touch to end an already magical day. If you haven’t checked out Jan’s cakes yet, I highly recommend you do so—they’re not only beautiful but delicious too!
A huge thank you to Natasha Churches for hosting this wonderful styled shoot! It was such a pleasure to be part of The Styled Series and to collaborate with such talented vendors. I look forward to many more shoots and creative opportunities in the future!
I’m so excited to finally share the beautiful images from this styled series! Keep an eye out for more, as we continue to showcase stunning wedding inspiration and collaborate with amazing creatives in the industry.
