Words of encouragement to my Covid brides

Dear 2020 Brides,

I see you. I understand the excitement you’ve felt over the past months, from dreaming of your perfect wedding day to carefully planning every detail. You’ve chosen your vendors, mailed out your invitations, and have been eagerly anticipating a day of love and celebration. But then, the unthinkable happened. The global pandemic hit, and in the blink of an eye, your wedding plans were upended.

I know that this moment is heartbreaking, and I feel that pain with you. The disappointment of having to postpone the day you’ve been envisioning for so long is immense, and it's okay to grieve that loss. Trust me when I say that you are not alone. Myself, along with all of your wedding vendors and support team, are feeling the same way. We’re here for you every step of the way through this uncertain time.

But I want you to remember one important thing: this virus may have stopped the world, but it cannot stop your love. The love that brought you and your partner together is the most beautiful thing, and it will still be celebrated—maybe not on the original date, but it will happen. And when it does, it will be even more special because it will be your love story unfolding in a world that has endured together.

I am in awe of your strength and grace as you navigate this. Your flexibility and willingness to reschedule shows the depth of your commitment to one another, and I know it will make your day even more meaningful when it arrives. When the world reopens, we will be right there alongside you, ready to celebrate your love. In the meantime, please don’t stress too much—remember that all good things are worth waiting for.

If there’s anything I can do to support you during this time—whether it’s offering advice, helping with rescheduling, or simply being someone to listen—please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here for you.

With love and support,
Rebecca
