Our Musayev Adventures

Nashville, Tennessee

Wow, what a year this has been! Musa and I are finally settled in our new home in Nashville! It’s been so much fun to see this sweet little house turn into a home. We’ve been SO busy moving boxes, cleaning, doing yard work, and of course more cleaning. I feel like the construction dust never fully goes away! Has anyone else felt this way?! I’m sure it didn’t help that on top of a full house renovation the first thing we did was install hardwood floors in all the bedrooms. It was so worth it in the end, but man, so much dust! But overall, throughout all the stress (and believe me a full wedding season, living in a different state from Musa, and moving at times did get stressful), it has been SO worth it.

I have one more wedding this December for my 2018 season here in Nashville! It’s going to be so beautiful, I can’t wait! I am SO blessed to have been able to be a part of so many great couples weddings this year! I truly love my job and know this is the place where God wants me to be. After all, where you are challenged the most is where God wants you the most! Can I get an Amen!

Anywhoo, I thought I’d pop on here and give a little update of our lives! Ready, here we go!

Musa is almost finished with school! He has one more semester and he will be a college graduate! SO exciting! He’s been studying like crazy on top of a new job, daily foot rubs, and moving states. I honestly don’t know how he does it. He loves his new job and I am so happy to see him not only enjoy but excel at what he does. Finding a new job was crazy there for a while. He applied to over 100 positions and this one turned out to be such a blessing for our family. He is now working for Deloitte as a Cloud Architect Solutions Manager. I’m not quite sure exactly what he does but he inter-webs away with it. That’s all that matters, right?!

Rex and Fly are SO in love with their new backyard. We let them outside for as long as they want and they run around, chew sticks, and soak up the warm southern sun. It’s been so cool to see them enjoy a big yard. It’s actually the main reason Musa and I picked this home. Every house we looked at, the first thing we would do is run to the backyard to see if it would be good for our pups. One could say we picked this house for them! But, we actually did…!

I am loving being close to my family. This Thanksgiving we had my Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins and it was so much fun. The older you get the more you value the gift of family. I’ve been over my mom’s house every day and it’s so nice. It still doesn’t feel real quite yet.

As for now, things have settled down as we wait for all of our furniture to arrive and I can focus back on the business! I have some exciting plans for this down season and can’t wait for my 2019 wedding season next year! Half of my season will be in Columbus, Ohio and the other in Tennessee! I hope everyone has an amazing holiday season and I can’t wait to keep you all updated on our adventures here in Nashville!
