Dear Little Townhouse: Our Goodbye Letter To 2333 Windsor Chase

Dear Little Townhouse

Dear Little Townhouse

We Bid You Adieu

Dear Little Townhouse On Windsor Chase,

We were so excited when we met you. You were everything we were looking for in our first home. From your two bedrooms to your fenced-in patio, we began to picture our first year of marriage.

We moved our things in before the wedding and Becca lived there making our belongings a home. On our wedding day, we filled your rooms with all of our wedding gifts and decorations. As Musa carried Becca across the threshold, this was going to be the start of our lives.

We have loved your natural light, even if it meant that when the sunlight would come through the windows the AC wouldn’t work quite well, or in Winter the downstairs would be so much colder than the upstairs. But your quirks gave you character. Especially when the carbon monoxide battery alarms would go off at 3 AM.

My heart was in the kitchen and the patio garden. Your kitchen was truly the heart of our home. Our first meals were shared there and many date nights. The best part of our days was coming home and smelling a delicious meal that filled the air.

The patio gardens were not only pretty but a memory. From picnicking outside on a warm summer day to harvesting our vegetable plants, it was truly amazing. Picking tomatoes and making homemade sauce was something I will never forget.

You were there as we camped out on the living room floor under a sheet which was our makeshift tent. You were there throughout our job changes and newly married life obstacles. We prayed in your presence, we laughed, cried, and danced. You witnessed our lives to its fullest.

I apologize for Rex and Fly running around like crazies and hogging the air vents. But, they loved you too. Frisbee on the lawn and laser light up the stairs was something they will never forget.

We will always remember our time spent with you and hope that you bring comfort to the next people who move in. Thank you for being our first home as a newly wedded couple. You will always be a memory in our hearts.

Love,

Becca, Musa, Rex & Fly
