The toasts were about to begin. The DJ handed him the microphone. The chief of the fire department stood up, took a deep breath, and then began to speak. Everyone in the room was silent, listening to his every word. He talked about the first time he met Austin. Austin wanted to become a volunteer firefighter and was dedicated to the job. The chief took Austin under his wing and trained him. He was an amazing firefighter and a hard worker. One day Austin asked him if his girlfriend at the time could apply for becoming a volunteer firefighter as well. He reflected on this young couple, a couple that with their spare time, wanted to volunteer to save lives… that was amazing, but that was Austin and Kylie.
Austin and Kylie grew up in the same town and were just destined to be. You know the end of a romance movie, where no matter what life throws out the main characters, fate just brings them back together over and over again? That’s this couple. I had the honor of becoming apart of this love story over a year ago. My friend Malia with Malia Vaughn Photography was looking for a second shooter for a wedding back in her husband’s hometown. I agreed to help her out and was so excited for this destination wedding!
Austin and Kylie were married at the Trailside Event Center. This venue is so neat! Not only does it have a modern industrial feel but, they thought of everything. They have a hair salon and a bakery in the same building! How easy is that for getting ready and for finding your wedding cake! Check and check! Speaking of cake, their wedding cake was delicious. This hometown bakery has quite the reputation and they surely live up to what everyone is saying!! The chocolate cake was moist and the filling was SO good. It was a chocolate ganache cream. YUM!
