Engagement at the Belle Meade Plantation

Heidi and Steve are the couple that romance movies are inspired by. These two are SO in love. I know you may think every engaged couple is in love, but these two are just head-over-heels in love with one another. They are truly meant to be and are each other’s person (had to get my Grey’s Anatomy reference in there). I had SO much fun capturing these two during their engagement session at the Belle Meade Plantation.
We met on a hot but gorgeous summer day. But this heatwave didn’t stop these two from having fun. The plantation is gorgeous. It is filled with so much history, so many different textures, and it’s just the epitome of the south. Plus, there are horses!! I think anything with horses automatically qualifies it for the best venue ever!!
We had so much fun exploring the plantation, the historic buildings, and mature magnolia trees. It was stunning. Heidi wore the most perfect outfits. Her first outfit was this gorgeous blue blouse that not only brought out her eyes but was so much fun against the old stones and mansion. Her second outfit was my favorite. It was a dress covered in lemons!!! It was the perfect dress for this venue, so sweet! In front of the magnolia trees, these two were something out of Southern Living magazine!
Heidi and Steve also brought along some parcels which only added to the southern charm of this session. I barely had to direct this couple because they were giggling, laughing, and having so much fun. The world truly disappeared when these two were around each other, it was such an honor to capture their love story!
Congratulations to Heidi and Steve on your engagement! I’m so excited to celebrate with you on your wedding day later this fall!
