5 Year Anniversary
To have and to hold from this day forward
Cheers to 5 years of marriage! Where did the time go? It feels like we’ve simply always been a part of each other’s lives. Time is a funny thing, that’s for sure!
This past year of marriage has been filled with a lot of travel. We went to Charleston, Disney World, and Columbus, of course! It has been nice to finally make memories and getaway as a family.
We also moved into our second home in Belle Meade, Tennessee. Wow! I can’t believe how badly we needed the S P A C E! Two parents working from home, two Australian Shepherds, and a toddler really take up space in a 1300-square-foot house with NO storage! We love our new house and are taking the time to get to know every corner of this home.
We also are getting ready to welcome our second baby due July 2022! Through all the blessings and changes, it has been such a delight having my best friend by my side as we grow our lives together. Onto the vows! Every year Musa and I write vows to one another. It is our legacy, our love story, and our commitment to one another.
BECCA’S VOWS
To my best friend and one true love, 5 years married, 7 years together, but it still feels like yesterday that we just met. They say time is a thief but if used to its fullest, it’s also the greatest giver. I look at you now, my everything, and am so in love with you. A raw, steadfast, unconditional, no words needed, kind of love.
Watching you become the man God has created you to be has been so amazing to witness. You work so hard. Everything you set your mind to you achieve. You are the cornerstone of our family and provide us with everything we could have dreamed of. You are the most amazing best friend, you listen to me, and you simply adore me after all these years. You are the most amazing father, Olivia and little peanut are so blessed to have you teach them and love them as you do. And most importantly, you are an amazing man of God. Watching you grow in your faith and keeping God rooted in our family is all we need in this life.
Musa, I promise to grow even deeper in our love, aspiring to obtain a love as God has for us. I promise to support your dreams and goals. I promise to be by your side as you continue to grow and become the best version of yourself you can be. Never stop learning, never stop growing, that is what I love so much about you. I vow to take the time to date you and never forget the reasons why we are so extraordinary together. You are my universe, my person, and my soulmate. I thank God every day for Him giving me you and this amazing family and life we have just begun to build together. I love you more than words could ever express. Always and forever, Becca.
MUSA’S VOWS
To my dearest friend, my confidant, my one true love: There is so much for us to experience during our short time on this side of heaven. As individuals, we make memories through the adventures we take and the challenges we embark upon. But what good are all those memories if you don’t have someone to share them with?
Me, I am blessed to have my best friend by my side every day on this journey. You are my wildest dream. You are the love of my life. I am grateful to have you in my life each and every day. Words cannot put to life the incredible person that you are. Your heart loves and nurtures the people it cares about deeper than anything I’ve ever seen. I will never take your love for granted and continually chase after your heart like we just met. you sacrifice at your peril to give selflessly to others. I will take care of you and will provide you with everything your heart desires and experiences you haven’t dared to imagine.
Second, to God, I will be the cornerstone you can rely on upon through good times and bad. I will love you unconditionally and always put you first. I will be there to catch you when you fall and to kiss your cheeks when they’re stained with tears of happiness or despair. I cherish the love you have for me and promise to love you until the end of time. Our story together is beautiful and there are so many chapters still unwritten…
