4 Year Anniversary

4 Year Anniversary

For better or for worse, in sickness and in health

I can’t believe Musa and I are celebrating our 4 year anniversary! It feels like we have known each other a lifetime in the best of ways. Musa is my best friend, my person, and the absolute love of my life. I’m so blessed to share this amazing life with him by my side.

This past year of marriage has been filled with a lot of life, all the ups, and downs. We welcomed our sweet baby girl into our family, it has been such a joy watching Musa become a father and he is an incredible father. He is such a natural and is the sweetest with Olivia. Miss Olivia is head over heels for her Dada and she has him wrapped around her little finger.

As we all know, 2020 was also the year of Covid-19. Between the fear of the unknown and the quarantine, our daily life changed. We’ve had to fall back on each other and truly prioritize what means the most to our family. Things you can’t replace, your health, and your family. One thing that Covid-19 taught us was to appreciate the time you are given and to be present in the present.

One of the lows we experienced this season was we lost Musa’s dad due to a terminal illness. It went downhill so quickly but Musa and I were able to be with him and Musa’s family in his final weeks of life. It was our first loss as a couple and something we never thought we would be facing this soon. The loss of his father completely broke our hearts but we were able to lean on each other and get through it together. Through it all, it truly was a blessing to live out our vows to one another, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health. It’s something that I do not take for granted. It takes work, grace, faith, and a whole lot of love but to grow together in a marriage is the most rewarding feeling.

Every year Musa and I have a tradition of renewing our vows to one another. I hope that our vows are not only sweet words we strive to live by but truly become our love legacy to our children. I hope Olivia and any future children are able to see us role model a Godly marriage, every part, through all of lives trials and blessings.

BECCA’S VOWS

Musa, where did the time go? I can’t believe we are celebrating 4 years of marriage. But then again, it also feels like I’ve know you my whole life. You are my best friend. There’s no one else I’d rather live this life with than you. Over the years (man that sounds old lol) we’ve only grown more in love and it just keeps getting better and better. you are an incredible Godly husband, the sweetest Dad, and best partner. I’m so blessed to call you mine and that you are the father of my children. Growing our family makes me even more madly in love with you and so excited to start our legacy together. Now for our sweet tradition, the vow part. I promise to love you fiercely, now and forever. To be there for you and always listen. To continue to put you first, especially as we grow our family. To push you to be the best you can be. To grow with you in our faith and as individuals. To never stop fighting for us. you are my world, my person, and my soulmate. I mean that with every inch of my soul. I love you so much. Happy 4 years! yours always, Becca.

MUSA’S VOWS

Becca, where there’s been darkness, you’ve brought light. where there’s been cold, you’ve brought warmth. Your heart is one that is the kindest and abundantly full of love for me, our precious daughter, and our fuzzie wuzzies. I can’t put into words the privilege I feel knowing I have secured that place in your heart. I hope you know you have secured the same in mine. From the moment our paths crossed, you’ve surprised me, distracted me, captivated me, and challenged me in ways that no one else ever has. over all these years, I keep falling in love with you again and again. as these years keep coming, my love for you keeps getting stronger, deeper, and more real than I ever thought it could be. you are an incredible mother, a fantastic friend, and a fine ass wife! You have my heart for countless years to come. Love, Musa.
